Toads hitching a ride on the back of a 11-foot python. Believe it or not!
Almost 3 inches of rain fell in an hour in Kununurra, Western Australia, flushing all the cane toads out. Some of them took the easy way out – taking a ride on the back of this huge python.
Ten cane toads were seen riding a 3.5-metre (11-foot) python. People who witnessed the strange sight captured video of the snake – known locally as “Monty” – moving “at full speed” with the toads clinging to its back.
While the toads may have been trying to escape rising waters, one amphibian expert said the male toads were exhibiting unusual sexual behavior.
The Python service comes in handy in case of flooding. Ladies and gentlemen, the train is about to leave!
